"Listen to him daddy! They won't hurt us!" Layla insisted. Their "dad" ignoring her brother made her angry. Layla's green aura shown brightly and her eyes started to glow. Rock started to wrap around Brody's paws and then tightened, holding him down in cuffs. "Listen to him! Tell Uncle and Godfather to stop!" Layla growled.

Brody's eyes widened. "You... Get me out of this thing, then I will tell Uncle and Godfather to stop! Deal?"
Zon looked at his sister and pressed his pelt close to her's, in a effort to calm her down.

Dio, strangely, was unafraid. He watched his sister and brother plead with his mother and father; felt their fear. He gazed at the door where his uncle and godfather disappeared.
Diogenes stopped. Fenrir whirled around to face him and Tokeshima. While Fenrir was distracted, the theives ran away. Fenrir growled. "Those wolves stole all we had! With one of us injured-", Fenrir began, but stopped when he recognized who was in front of him. His grandson. Diogenes. "You.", he said, disbelief in in voice and in his blue eyes. Daph, Cher, Sangre, Tuscanelli, and Son looked at Fenrir, then at Diogenes.

Keeva stopped and nudged Layla. "Let him go, dear," she murmured in her ear. Layla sighed and let the cuffs crumble around Brody's paws. Layla leaned against Dio and Zon for assurance.
"Who are they, Diogenes?" Keeva growled as she padded beside him. Tokeshima ran to protect the kids, as if they really needed protection.

Dio touched Layla's shoulder with his tail tip, watching intently. Diogenes turned to Keeva. "They are my family. Fenrir and Daph are Pendergast and my grandparents. Cher is my aunt, and her sons Sangre, Tuscanelli, and Son are my cousins!", he said excitedly, the memories rushing back.

Before either Fenrir or Daph could speak, Tuscanelli shot out from behind them and tackled Diogenes. "'GENES", he shouted.

Zon smirked at Brody that looked like 'told you so!' Then after Tuscanelli tackled Uncle, Zon smiled.
Brody grimaced at Zon.
