Dio obediently did as his mother asked of him, and padded over to her. Diogenes smiled at Layla. "Hello.", he said, resisting the urge to lick her nose; he smiled at her instead, but his mind was still whirling with thoughts filled of his son, and of the extrordinary power flowing within him.

"Hello sweetie," Keeva cooed as she licked Dio's nose. "You are a very very special pup, not to mention handsome. Mommy loves you," she murmured.
Layla tilted her head and snickered a bit. Carefully, she made the earth move and pinned down Diogenes' feet. Layla snickered evilly and her eyes glittered.

Dio blinked again. He didn't understand what his mother meant by "special", and "handsome", but he believed them to be something good, if his mother said them. Dio looked into his mother's emerald gaze. "Love...", he repeated, the first he had ever spoken. Diogenes smiled at Layla's trick. "That's very good, Layla. That trick could come in handy in a fight.", he praised. Then he heard Dio speak. "Keeva, what did he say?"

"He......said......love," Keeva mumbled, shocked. She returned to Dio's multi-colored gaze. "Yes, dear, love. Your father, Brody, your uncle, and myself all love you," she licked his nose.
Layla smiled at his praise, then it faded away. "Fight?" she muttered. Layla removed the cuffs from Diogenes' paws and backed away slowly. She didn't understand what that meant yet. She scuttled beside Dio and laid her tail on his shoulders.

Diogenes just watched Layla. He was shocked, elated, and slightly afraid of what sat beside Keeva's flank. This just wasn't happening; he'd never seen anything like Dio, Layla, and Zon before. Dio awknowledged his sister by looking sideways at her. "Love.", he repeated opaquely, and stared vaguely out the cracked window.

Layla jerked her head. "Love, brother. Love, family," she mumbled. Keeva stared at her pups in disbelief. "They...can....talk?" she stammered.

"It would appear so.", Rapier said suddenly. Diogenes' gaze made her shut up. "As Rapier said, it appears they can.", Diogenes said.

"But, isn't it too early? They are barely a sun old!" Keeva quickly calmed her thoughts, as would Zon would flip out.

"Perhaps they are prodigies. Those kind of wolves only show up but once or twice. Probably no more than two or three every thousand years.", Rapier added. Dio turned from staring out the window and transfixed his gaze on the black and white she-wolf.

Keeva nodded her head. "I can see it now. Our renegade pack, killing and destroying the packs! We shall rule the whole forest! The forest will be a river, a river of blood. They will bow down to us!" Keeva eyes glittered as she imagined it. Her yellow aura started to glow, and she chuckled.
Layla loved the sound of her mother's laugh and the sight of her aura. Layla opened her mouth and let out a musical, flittering laugh. Her greenish aura shone and rocks started to shake.
Suddenly, Tokeshima's angelic white aura shone brightly too. "What is going on? I didn't summon my power! Could it be, are we all connected in some way?" his rugged voice echoed throughout the barn.

"Maybe.", Diogenes woofed, his own, red aura dancing around his body like aieborne flames.

Keeva calmed down and looked at Zon. She gently licked his head and wrapped her tail around him.
Layla's aura faded and the ground stopped shaking. She padded over towards Zon and Keeva's head. "We....are....family," she muttered, looking at Dio, Zon, Keeva, and Brody.
Keeva nodded. "Yes, don't forget your Uncle Diogenes, Aunt Raiper, and your Godfather Tokeshima. Oh! And your other siblings, Malvina and Fiend."
(if Linger doesn't show up soon, we might have to power play her.)

Dio suddenly lifted his head and yelped. There was a commotion outside, and something loud banged on the side of the barn. Diogenes snarled. Whatever was making that racket was going to pay for disturbing the peace.
