A Sweet Dream or A Beautiful Nightmare?

Keeva quickly shot up and grabbed Dio and Layla and curled her tail around them, as well as Zon. "What's out there?" she growled.

Tokeshima bristled beside Diogenes.

"I don't know, but we're going to find out.", Diogenes growled, indicating for Tokeshima to follow. He slipped out of the barn and saw six wolves facing off with three unfortunate prey-thieves. One wolf was already dead. He had been thrown forcefully against the barn, cracking his spine. A large black male that looked similar to Diogenes, only older, bristled. "It was foolish of you to steal from us.", the black male snarled. The three wolves before him cringed. The other wolves; a blue-gray female, a dark gray female, a dark ginger male, a silver male, and a cream male glared at the theives. {btw: these are Diogenes' relatives}

[Moony]

Tokeshima looked at Diogenes then back at the wolves. He turned invisible and walked behind the six wolves. "What seems to be the problem here?" Tokeshima's unattached bark echoed around them.

[Silentee]

Zon suddenly began bristling his short dark cream fur as he felt the hostility and tension.

Brody came out of the den and began to bare a snarl on his lips as the strangers were coming.

[Moony]

Keeva grabbed Zon, Layla, and Dio and ran farther into the barn. She put them down and stood over them. "It's okay loves. Nothing is gonna hurt you," Keeva woofed.

Layla stood between Zon and Dio. Their pelts touching.

[Silentee]

Zon pressed his pelt reassuringly to Layla and Dio as he felt fear and confusion.

[Moony]

Layla leaned back and calmed herself. She made a tall rock barrier around Keeva and her brothers, she loved them all. "I...love.....my.....family," she murmured.

Keeva felt tears well up in her eyes. 'My children. I love them too,' she woofed in her head.

[Silentee]

Zon smiled and woofed in a cute small voice. "I...Love....You....Mommy....Dio...Layla...And Daddy...."

[Moony]

Keeva let tears run down her cheek. "Zon..." she sighed. Keeva licked his head. Layla did too and pushed him a little. "Let's....do...this!" she muttered.

[Silentee]

Zon nodded and thought to strangers in the barn, and saw their minds, the leader of the pack. "They are Digeness's family." He mummered.

[Moony]

"What? Zon are you sure?" Keeva asked. Layla looked at Zon then Keeva. "My brothers do not lie," she murmured.

[Silentee]

Zon dipped his head to Layla, "Thank you." He mummered and looked at his mother. "They are Diogenes's family, the family lived on the other side of the mountain. When a former ally pack betrayed them and kicked them out of their territory, they crossed the mountains and are trying to settle down here. They are Diogenes' relatives." He thought hard on every wolf's mind.

[Moony]

Keeva nodded for a minute. "Maybe they aren't a threat. Layla, release the barrier," Keeva commanded. Layla dipped her head and relaxed and the barrier crashed to the ground. 'Come on Zon,' Layla thought as she looked at Zon. She sped off, towards Brody and Diogenes.

[Silentee]

Zon nodded and looked at Dio and sped up until he was up to Layla. "I wonder what they want? I mean none of them are thinking on what they want with us." He whispered to his sister.

Brody looked at his "pups" and walked to them, crouching down low to the ground, his teeth bared.

[Moony]

"Daddy? Why are you growling? They won't hurt us," Layla insisted. She threw a pebble at his ear. "Zon said they won't!"

Keeva leaped out in front of her pups and wrapped her tail around them.
