Ashpaw opened his mouth to agree, but Moonpaw interrupted. "I wish to carry him. He was my mentor. I apologize to be rude, Whiterain, but, please," she insisted. Her emerald eyes blazed with revenge and determination.

Ashpaw helped Moonpaw put Thornshadow on her back. He was heavy, but she didn't care, she was an almost fully grown warrior. Each step was full of sorrow and grief. Ashpaw cried as he flanked Moonpaw and Thornshadow.
Right before they got to the entrance to camp, Moonpaw stopped abruptly.

Whiterain sighed in defeat. If Moonpaw refused to be reassured, then there was nothing she could do.

Moonpaw looked at Whiterain, apologies and tears in her eyes but she could say nothing. Moonpaw limped into camp and placed Thornshadow in the middle of the clearing. Once he was put on the floor, Moonpaw collapsed and buried her face in his fur. She made his fur wetter with her clear tears that were now scarlet with his blood.
Ashpaw looked at Whiterain. "Will she be okay?" he asked, concerned.

Whiterain looked at Ashpaw. "I don't know. It takes time to heal the kind of blow dealt today.", she answered. She called Moonrun, Phoenixfeather, Cocoamane, and Venomfang. "When you two are ready, Whiterain said, indicating Ashpaw and Moonpaw, We'll go to Sun's Death camp.[/b]"[/size]

Venomfang, Cocoamane, Ashpaw, and once she got up, Moonpaw exchanged glances. They looked at Whiterain and responded with a loud chorus,"Aye!"
