Moonsky, sulking, walked over to the gorge. She looked down at the flowing water and imagined herself as a spirit, free from any burdens. She layed down next to the edge and let her paws dangle over the side. A breeze ruffled her fur, but she ignored it. "You shouldn't rest right there.", a voice sounded behind her. Frightened, she leaped, but in the wrong direction. Moonsky clung desperately to the edge and looked up to see Ravenfire looking down at her. "Hang on, Moonsky, I'll pull you up.", the other she-wolf growled, determination flashing in her blue eyes. Moonsky felt Ravenfire's teeth meet her scruff and was being dragged over the edge. "What were you thinking, laying down there?", Ravenfire demanded. Moonsky bowed her head. "I don't know..I'm just..depressed these days." Ravenfire looked at the younger warrior. "Is this about Stormchase?", she asked. Moonsky meerly nodded. Ravenfire sighed. "At least I was here to save you." Moonsky looked up. "I wish you hadn't. I wish I fell and drowned." "Don't say that! If any should have died, it should have been me. I live forever with the burden I carry. Cynder never did anything..it was my fault my brothers and sister are dead. I was blinded by jealousy and ambition..I wasn't thinking clearly. I don't want the same thing to happen to you, Moonsky. Instead of sulking, at least be happy for Stormchase. And Scarpaw too,you're still his mentor. You have a life Moonsky, don't waste it.", Ravenfire told her, and started back to camp. Moonsky thought. Ravenfire was right. But it was so hard to do. "Ravenfire, wait!", she barked, running up to the older warrior. Ravenfire stopped. "Thank you, Ravenfire.", Moonsky said. Ravenfire smiled warmly. "I forgive you, for the things you did in the past. You are a new warrior now. So..want to be friends?", Moonsky asked. "Sure, I'd like that.", was the answer.

Crowpaw sat on a hill and watched it all... he wasnt wel lliked but that was because he was stubborn and prickly... he could have saved moonsky, but Ravenfire was faster...
and he doubted Cynder had forgiven Ravenfire

"You think we should bring back some prey?", Moonsky asked. "I think that would be smart, seeing as we're always out doing nothing.", Ravenfire snorted. They split up in search of some prey to bring back to camp.
