Cari hurried into camp one night, and made a break for the nursery place. There was one pup she wanted to talk to. He had the most hate pent up, for reason at all. Turning him would be very easy. He had the makers of a brutal killer. Possibly from his father?
"Jupiter?" she growled. At once green eyes flashed open, and the red-brown pup appeared at the entrance. "Yes, what do you want?" He snapped.
"Let's go for a walk, outside of camp." They had to hurry before Rose came back and tried to stop her. Jupiter hesitated, but he clearly liked the thought of getting out of camp. He nodded ,and they slipped into the dark forest.
"Jupiter, I need to tell you something. Rein is dead."
The pup stopped, his eyes widening. His father was... dead? His grief was expressed in a strange way, same as his love had been. He was... sad, but didn't know why. Rein ahd always been a pest, yelling at him when he got into fights, cuffing his ear. He felt half-deaf! (Lol)
"How?"
'Rose killed him," Cari growled coldly.
"Mother? No! It must be a lie! Why would..."
'Because Rein isn't your father, Recif is. I must go." Cari glanced at the pup, her soft eyes hardening. Her job was done. She could see the gears turning in Jupiter's mind, his eyes growing cold. He had been lied to all alone. DId Recif know? Did he even care? Instead, he valued Kayto, and Lyric, and Ellie, but what about the resto f his pups? Why were those three so special? What about him? He felt a stab of jealousy, and a surge of hatred towards Rose.
Cari vanished into the forest, leaving Jupiter alone.
