Whiteice lay in the medicine wolf hollow, her body skinny, bony, and mangy. Her white fur was stained crimson, and her black legs were almost healed. However, her mind was active. Why did I run? Why didn't I just stay here and be a normal apprentice? I did learn some stuff from Sun's Death, I know the basics. I wonder if mom, dad, Shadepup, Sandpup, and Dragonfrost will forgive me. Will I get to change my name? she thought over and over. A sudden itch was behind her ear, she lifted her paw to scratch it, but ended up whimpering.

Sandpup popped her head into the Medicine Wolf's Hollow. "Hi Whiteice," she said shyly.

Dragonfrost looked at Sandpup briefly, and turned to Whiteice. "No, let me.", he said softly, and leaned over to crack the bothersome flea with his tooth. He allowed himself a small smile as he laid next to Whiteice and began to wash the blood off.

"Dragonfrost? Sandpup? Is that you? Thank you," she murmured. Shifting awkwardly, she whimered. "Please, Whiteice is no longer my name. Call me Whitepaw, please. We should be close to apprentices," she breathed.

(u see, after he learned of Whiteice's betrayal, Shade wanted to make her life miserable, and once he learned about going into packs and taking pups, he new just what to do, he tried to take Shadepup and Sandpup, but only got Shadepup)

Dragonfrost stopped washing to join in the conversation. "No, Mistypup and Talonpup are going to be apprentices too. And Whitepaw, stop moving. You need to rest.", he said gently.

(btw, after Shade hurt Blackfur, he has been asleep next to Whitepaw)
Sandpup looked at Blackfur, sleeping. "When should we tell him?"
