"Okay!" Burninggaze padded along next to his mate. It was a sunny day, and there was no scent of Sun's Death. For the first time in moons, he properly relaxed.

She walked by his side and their pelts brushed together. she took him to the woods and to a spot that was open. "isnt this nice?" she asked him

"Yeah, it is..." Burninggaze circled the clearing. The birds weren't too noisy, the sun wasn't too bright, but it wasn't silent, and it was nice and warm. The earth was soft and spongy, perfect to lay down in. The jet-black wolf did so, tucking his russet-tinted paws underneath his chest. "Why did you want to come here, anyway? I don't think you'd go halfway across the territory just to show me this." he joked.

"its a nice place to go when you have a lot on your mind and this will take you all away from it." she said. she laid down next to her mate and then listened to the birds chirping and the wind blowing

Blazingggaze rolled over onto his side, so that his head rested next to Moonglaze's paws. "It's so nice..." he murmured. "Not just here, but life generally... I have a place to sleep, a full belly, a family and a beautiful mate."

She smiled at him and then listened closely. her brother knew where they were and she knew he was watching from the bushes unless it was a renegade or nothing at all. she looked closely and say nothing, maybe her mind was going crazy on her

"What is it?" Burninggaze asked, seeing her staring in the bush.

"nothing, just my mind playing tricks on me" she said. she put her head back down and remembered the memories of when she first found the place.

Burninggaze tilted his head, then lay back down. Soon his gentle snores filled the air around them.

Moongaze fell asleep too and then when she woke up the sun was going down and when she looked behind her, her brother was standing their. "Greywing" she yelled

He was standing over her. "howcould you" he said to her. she was confused. he leaned down and grabbed her throat and bit as hard as he could. she could breath and then she pushed him and said "how could i what?" he looked at her and said "the promise" she tilt her head. "this is our place to come not anyone else's" he said. "Thats when we were pups Greywing, were not pups anymore okay and anyways you cant tell me what to do anymore!" she said. he was mad and attacked her.

Burninggaze woke up with a start. He'd been dreaming he was running through the forest, and he'd gone through a cold stream. He looked around and saw a wolf attacking his mate. Snarling and bristling, he leapt at the other wolf, pinning him down. "Stay away from her!" he growled.

Greywing smiled and bit burninggaze's neck really hard and then all he saw was blackness. moongaze had hit his head against the rock that was next to his head. he wasnt dead though only knocked out. She went over to burninggaze and asked "are you okay. i know my brother is insane and everything" she licked his neck and then looked at her brother. "i think we should go back to camp"

"Y-yes." Burninggaze ran after Moongaze, staggering slightly. He was losing a lot of blood from his neck.

When they got back to camp, Demonfang saw them and then ran over to moongaze and said "what happened?" "greywing attacked us and tried to kill me and burninggaze which is my mate now" she said. "good you got a mate but he should go to the medicine den quickly." moongaze nodded and ran to the medicine dent to see him in there
