Willowclaw stared at the camp entrance, ignoring the young deer that lay by her paws. She wouldn't relax until her pups came back; with Sun's Death becoming a more and more pronounced, threatening band, she was worrying all the time when she was seperated from her family. Of course, she fretted about the Clan too, but her family was different. Her mate, Silentflame, pressed his flank to hers comfortingly. "They'll be fine, Willowclaw." he promised. "After all, they're strong warriors, not pups."
His mate gazed up at him, anxiety still shining in her amber eyes. "Don't you worry about them, too?" she asked him.
"Of course I do. I'm their father. But I know they can take care of themselves." His ears perked up as he heard pawsteps drumming outside the camp. Willowclaw leapt to her paws as well. She sighed in relief as Burninggaze and Flightfall, her only two pups, padded through the entrance. Burninggaze carried a small doe, Flightfall an extremely fat rabbit. Dropping them onto the fresh-kill pile, they bounded over to their parents.
"Thank StarPack you're okay!" Willowclaw barked. "With Sun's Death, I - I thought that...." she trailed off, not wanting to even think of what could have happened to them. Burninggaze swept his tail across his mother's back; he knew there was good reason behind her worries, and never mocked her for it as some wolves might. "We was fine, don't worry. Scented nothing. You should've seen Flightfall running after that rabbit!"
His sister's eyes glowed as he complimented her. "You did pretty good with that doe, too. It was heading for the ThunderPack border, going as fast as if our whole Pack was after it, and he caught it!"
"Well done, both of you." Willowclaw and Silentflame barked at the same time. The small family burst out laughing. Even in this dark time, everything was looking bright right now.

Demonfang walked by and dipped her head "hello everyone, i see that you cought prey, so how is it running." she asked

"Pretty fast, but not fast enough for us!" Flightfall told Demonfang, nodding to the huge rabbit. Willowclaw smiled proudly at her pups, they had grown into such lovely wolves. Willowclaw stood up, stretching, and turned to Silentflame. "Shall we prove they weren't just lucky and see how it's going ourselves?" she growled playfully. Her mate leapt up and his eyes gleamed excitedly.

"atleast nothing has happened yet but i think we should get ready for it" Demonfang said and was scared cause she had already lost her brother and she didnt want to die.

Willowclaw and Silentflame bounded out of camp. Burninggaze nodded and swept his tail over Demonfang's back comfortingly. "It must be so hard..." he murmured, eyes soft. He realized he was so much luckier than some wolves, even some in the Pack; his parents were still alive, as was his sister, he had a safe place to sleep, and - most of the time - a full stomach. And, most of the time, he took it for granted. He sighed.

Demonfang looked for redfur and then sighed. he wasnt around. Moonglaze saw demonfang and padded up to her "aww my sweety dont worry i think he went on a patrol but he will be back soon" Demonfang looked at her with sadness in her eyes. "i know you miss your brother and i know he must be going crazy in starpack, cause he protected you and you have to thank him for that" she said

Flightfall wandered away to the fresh-kill pile, taking her rabbit. "Are you hungry?" Burninggaze asked Demonfang and Moongaze.

"sure" moongaze said, Demonfang walked away and dissapeared into the woods
Moongaze turned to burninggaze and whispered in his ear "do u have a mate?"

"N-no..." Burninggaze stammered. For the first time in his life, he felt nervous.

moonglaze looked at his sister and then looked back at burninggaze and whispered "well do u mind being with me cause we are both so lonely." she looked at him and then licked his ear.

"Yes, I will. You're a very nice wolf and I like you very much, Moongaze." Burninggaze's amber eyes were softened with affection. He pressed his muzzle to hers, feeling very happy.

Burninggaze gave a small bark of laughter at the wolf jumping up and down with excitement, she looked like a pup. "Pups..." he murmured, then looked at her. "You'd be a great mother, you know...."

"you would be a awsome father" she said and then got up. she walked a couple steps and then brushed her tail on his muzzle;it was a signal to follow. she started walking untill they were out of camp
