Brokensong escaped from the general business of camp. Her mind swirled with many thoughts and her heart held mixed emotions.
She just needed to get away....
The troubled she-wolf sat down underneath an old oak tree alongside the Riverpack border, watching the setting sun turn the transparent waters a rich golden-orange. She blankly looked up just in time to see a dried, brown leaf fall onto the water's surface, creating ripples. "Leaf-Fall...", Brokensong whispered.

Goldenpaw was hauling moss through the forest. One bit got caught on a bramble, when she gave it a sharp tug the whole ball exploded into tiny fragments and she was sent tumbling backwards. THe small apprentice growled with frustration. As she gathered all the moss she noticed Brokensong. She choked back a greeting, noticing how sad the she-wolf looked. Feeling awkward she scrambled to get the moss and leave Brokensong alone.

Brokensong, hearing the faint commotion, tilted her head to the left to catch the apprentice's eye. "Goldenpaw? I thought I heard something..", she said, the lively tone returning to her voice.

Goldenpaw nodded. "Things seem really bad- did you have Recif is killing puppypets? All my old friends will be in danger. But things have got to get better, and Starpack won't let Recif win. There is still hope."
