Falling into pieces

[Moonlit]

This is one of my poems and I hope you like it!


I heard that you were coming
But I was to shy to call
And when you never came around
My heart started to fall

Into pieces

I heard that you were looking
My way in the halls
But I was to shy to ever talk to you
And every time a piece falls

Off of my heart

I heard that you wanted
To someday talk to me
But I was to shy to find you
And maybe someday see

If we could be together.

Now I can't see
How things used to be
I can't remember the face
Of what I used to dream of.

And now a ghost of heartbreak
Fills the place you
Used to be.

And its getting harder
To make it through the day

If only you had stayed.

A whisper of breath, the sound of words
I look up, its you I see
Just as everyone said
That it would be

Everything stops.

I heard that you were coming
But I was to shy to call
And when you finally came around
I couldn't hear the sound of the falling
Pieces of my heart
