One day this girl named Hope went on her trail to eat her blueberries. She decided to take her cats for a walk too because they loved eating blueberries. When she saw purple blueberries she decided to eat one. She gave one to all her cats and they gulped the purple blueberries down.
The next morning hope felt sick to her stomach and very dizzy.
She went to get up and she fainted on her bedroom floor. Her mom come in to see what the big crash was and sees her daughter lying on the floor so she calls an ambulance.
That night the nurse came in to check to see how she was doing and right before the nurse left the line went dead...
The doctor called the mother the next morning to tell her that Hope was dead. The mother started crying and couldn’t stop. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t have enough money for the funeral but she wanted her daughter to be cremated.
That next night Hopes spirit walked the earth. She thought she was alive until she tried to talk to someone and they didn’t answer her. When she went to touch someone her hand went right through them and she understood that she died. She went home to see what her mother was doing. She wanted to say good-bye but she didn’t know how to.
Hope didn’t know why God gave her another chance as a spirit...
She walked in the house and sat down to listen to what her mother, brother and his girlfriend was saying about her death. She went to the blueberry bush and picked up a blueberry. When she got home she threw it at the wall so everyone knew she was there. They all sat there like statues and started crying because they knew she was there with them.
So hope went into her room at laid on her bed. Her cats came in her room and they knew she was there. She was surprised that they can see her. She picked up one of her cats held it for a while.
The next morning hope woke up and went on the trail to get some of the purple blueberries. Her cats stared acting weird and hope didn’t know why. So she went to the bush and the cats started to eat the purple blueberries.
So Hope thought to herself did the purple blueberry kill me and not my cats? If so, why did god let her cats live? Is there another reason that they lived and I died? So hope wanted to find out but she didn’t know how. She kept on question herself all day long until the sun went down. She just sat there all day and all night until she got the answers. Hope stayed in that one spot for three days and the answers still didn’t come.
Then when she went to get up she saw a man walking towards her. She didn’t know if he saw her so Hope ran from him and when she looked back he wasn’t there. When she turned around he was right in front of her and Hope just stood there like a statue. He told her that he would explain everything as soon as they get back to the purple blueberry bushes.
Hope thought to herself if she seen him before… then she realized that he was in her dreams! Oh wow hope thought now I know where I seen him. So I guess he is here to help me with all my questions and tell me why I’m still here. Great don’t tell me that god kept me on this earth just to look after my family…
If so, she wanted to leave and go to heaven.
When they got to the purple blueberry bush the man said “You died because you ate poisonous blueberries.” So hope now knew why she died. But the other questions were still bugging her, why didn't the cats die? Then the man said "Your cats didn't die because only humans can die by eating these" So hopes questions had been answered and now she had nothing in her head to think of. She was just surprised that her cats didn't get poisoned. The man said "Your cats and you have to guard all of the poisonous blueberries around here" and hope asked "Why?" the man said "Well if someone cuts them down, you will be in heaven forever."
Now hope knew why God let her stay on earth. Then the man said “don’t let anyone else eat these.” And after that he disappeared. Hope was confused. Why would he say that and then disappear? She wanted to know more but it was too late to ask. After that hope went home and lay on the bed for a while. When hope woke up a couple hours later she got up and went to the bushes. She saw all of her cats there. So hope guessed that they knew what was going on. She sat down and fell asleep. Hope woke up a couple hours later and saw that her cats were gone. She got up and walked around for a while. She went into the woods and was looking for her cats.
