Moonchase waited in the training hollow for his apprentice, Clearpaw. Surely he wasn't flirting with the females, maybe he was. He told him to be here at sunhigh sharp, but it was a little after. He closed his eyes as he heard tiny pawsteps running towards him.

Songstar emerged from a holly bush. "Present for the overworked mentor!" She woofed jokingly. In her jaws was a freshly killed rabbit and it smelled wonderful. She put it down. "I thought I'd come watch a training session."

"Ah. Thank you Songstar. I think Clearpaw will love to see you watch him training. I bet he's flirting with the females," he sighed. The rabbit smelled wonderful, but he couldn't take it from the leader, he knew better.

Songstar pushed the rabbit towards him. "Go on, I know you didn't get anything this morning." Then she laughed. "Yes, we do have some very pretty females here." Her eyes twinkled.

Moonchase bowed his head thanks and a laugh bellowed from his chest. "Yes, we do. Such as yourself," he flattered. He was very slick with the females. He took a small bite out of the rabbit.

Moonchase laughed along with Songstar, feeling a little uneasy. He was still thinking about the ThunderPack she-wolf. He shook off the thought and ate the rabbit.

"Hi, Moonchase," Clearpaw called as he padded over to him. His eyes opened wide as he saw Songstar. "Are you here to watch my training?"

Moonchase nodded. "If you don't mind, Songstar wants to see how the perfect apprentice is coming along," his voice was deep. He shot a wink at Clearpaw.

Clearpaw did the move, Moonchase had taught him. He knocked Moonchase over perfectly.

"Nice," Moonchase said. He suddenly lunged out at Clearpaw and gingerly grabbed his front leg, and cautiously flipped him onto his back. "Always bring yourself back to a sturdy position after you strike," he advised.
