Moonpaw started to shake. "They....they.....they said.....that blood will overcome the shadows, run in the river, blow the scent in the wind, and will roar like thunder. Yellow nor white can save you, you will all die under the moon. It's scary, and it was like evil red wolves dancing around a fire and in the fire was the bodies of all the pack wolves," Moonpaw whimpered as she continued to shake. Her eyes were in a different place than her body was. "I had a similar dream when I came back from the wolverine attack, remember?"

Echohowl said nothing. She and Whiterain cast each other pained expressions. If "yellow" had meant Yellowstar, then "white" meant Shadowpack's beloved deputy. "Take these poppy seeds, and try to get some sleep.", Echohowl said, a little firmer than she meant. Whiterain looked at Moonpaw sympathetically.

Moonpaw nodded and thanked Echohowl. She padded out of the medicine den and back to the apprentice den where she curled up beside Snowpaw and Ashpaw.

Whiterain turned to Echohowl once Moonpaw left. "This is serious. Has Starpack sent you any signs?", she asked, only to frown. "No. The only lead we've gotten was your star sign.", Echohowl replied gravely. Whiterain sighed. "Well, I'm going to TRY to sleep. Come on Bearclaw.", the white-she wolf yawned, and left the den with her mate, leaving behind a quite confused and sleep-deprived medicine wolf behind.

Jadeheart frowned and blinked tiredly. "Well, Echohowl, it looks like we've got a problem on our paws," she sighed, curling up in her nest and resting her head on her paws. "Maybe the morning will shed some light on these new developments," she mused, only to be interrupted by a ray of light that shone into the medicine den from the rising sun. "Or now, either one," she grumbled.

Echohowl chuckled, but there was nothing funny in her empty attempt at humor. "You think perhaps we should sleep? We've been up all night.", she asked. Echohowl plotted to send the next wolf that came into their den away, unless it was very important.
