When Callisto had fallen asleep, Sunspark slipped out of Sun's Death camp without being noticed. She wanted to see if Arawn was okay after the fight. She knew she was taking a huge risk coming here; the Shadowpack wolves would be fierce with her if they found her here. But I must know. Deep inside, Sunspark still loved Red, even though she had been betrayed. He doesn't care about me, but Arawn does..., she thought.

Arawn (but he'll be called Thunderheart) was taking a midnight solo patrol. He wanted to protect his new-found pack, and treat it far better than Sun's Death. He caught whiff of a familar scent, though it was too faint to tell whom. So he continued his little patrol. That scent is awfully familiar, he thought.

Out of the blue, a weight crashed on Thunderheart. Sunspark held tightly to him with her claws, and placed a paw on his mouth. "Don't scream. It's me, Sunspark.", she whispered in his ear.

Thunderheart's tail hit the floor in happiness. "What are you doing here, Sunspark? I don't want you to get hurt!" his woof was muffled. His body shook with happiness.

"Really?" he woofed, bewildered. He thought she would've stopped loving him, since he was a traitor, but he never stopped loving her. "I'm glad you did," he whispered.

Sunspark detached herself from Thunderheart, and sat down. "Yes. Everyone at Sun's Death, except Pendergast, hates you, but I don't. Me and Callisto miss you.", she woofed softly, with wistfullness in her voice.

"Pendergast?" he mumbled bewildered. Thunderheart shrugged his massive shoulders. "I miss you and Calli, too. More than you'll ever know."

"Huh. That, um, unexpected," he woofed.Then he licked Sunspark's cheek. "I'm glad you came. I thought about sneaking out to see you, but Recif would've had my head," he laughed weakly.

Sunspark laughed with him. She was glad to be here, with Thunderheart. She turned suddenly serious. "Hey, I love you.", she woofed.

Thunderheart smiled. "As do I," he murmured back. He licked her cheek and nuzzled her neck.
