Songheart smiled briefly at Greyhowl, thankful of his support. "You can continue in peace." She nodded to her patrol, "Are we planing to finish the patrol before sunset?" She joked before heading towards the next scent marker.

"Yeah I suppose."Greyhowl barked. He looked at Songheart ahead of him. He couldnt stop looking at her. He started to like her more and more.

Just then Reedsong ran up to them, panting. "Guys! Guys you'll never believe what I saw! It's the salmon, they've returned to the river! (just pretend salmon once were abundant before twolegs came)" The tawny she-wolf eyes blazed with excitement. Salmon were a delicacy.

"Really!" Songheart exclaimed. She had just finished the last scent marker. "Are you guys up for a hunting patrol?" She asked. Ember nodded in agreement. He absolutely loved salmon.

Greyhowl also nodded enthusiastically. Last time he had had salmon he was barely an apprentice. He already was running towards the river.

Songheart nodded, euphoric. "Race you!" She shouted back to Ember. He sprinted after her. Songheart laughed. She could hear his belly growling already!

Greyhowl had already gotten a slamon out of the river when they reached him."They look so mouth-watering!"he barked.
