Suddenly, the barn door swung open and cream-colored male, black female, white pup, and a cream pup stumbled in. Diogenes' ears perked up, and his silver eyes narrowed as he rose to his paws, recognizing the first wolf. "Pendergast! You are not allowed here.", Diogenes spat. Pendergast stared at his brother, a desperate need in his own silver eyes. "But wouldn't my own brother shed some mercy? Blackrose just had our pups, and Sun's Death is no longer. The Packs will not accept us. Please, Diogenes! We have nowhere else to go.", Pendergast pleaded. Diogenes thought for a moment. Just this once, a shred of mercy. But then again, Pendergast was his own flesh and blood. "Very well, brother, you and your little family may stay."
