Whitestar could not supress a grin as she leaped onto the Tree Stump. The dying rays of the sun cast an orangey glow in the Shadowpack camp. "Let all those who are able to catch their own prey join here beneath the Tree Stump for a Pack meeting!", she yowled.


Echohowl, Sunspark, and Orchidfrost gathered and began to whisper excitedly.

All my wolves approached. Fawnpup, Springpup, Winterpup, and Stingingpaw all looked clean and ready to go. Summertide and Thunderclap looked at their individual children. Moonfeather stood beside Whitestar.

"As you all know, it is time for one apprentice to become a warrior, and three young pups to become apprentices.", Whitestar began. She beckoned Stingingpaw forward. "Stingingpaw, you have trained hard to understand the ways of the code, and I commend you to Starpack in your turn. Will you protect and defend this Pack, even at the cost of your life?"

"I will."

"Then by the powers of Starpack, I give you your warrior name. From this moment on, you shall be known as Stingingflame. The Pack honors your skills and determination.", Whitestar woofed. She then beckoned Fawnpup, Springpup, and Winterpup. "You three have reached your sixth moon. It is high time you became apprentices. Springpup, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Springpaw. Winterpup, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Winterpaw. I will be your mentor. Fawnpup, Echohowl has agreed that she will take you on as her apprentice. Until you earn your full name, you will be known as Fawnpaw. And Amberpup, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Amberpaw. Your mentor will be Darkstorm."


Echohowl beamed as she stepped forward to meet her new apprentice.

Phoenixfeather, Moonrun, Orchidfrost, and Sunspark cheered. Heartpup and Graypup smiled. "That will be us one day, Heartpup.", Graypup whispered excitedly to her friend.



Moony, who are the mentors? If you want, Whitestar can mentor one.

Stingingflame dipped her head to Whitestar and Moonfeather and faced the pack. Fawnpaw giggled as she was becoming the next med wolf.

Littlepaw watched Amberpaw and remembered how it felt to become an apprentice.

Amberpaw glanced up at her mentor, suddenly uncharacteristally shy. Would they get along? What if he didn't like her? She'd put burrs covered in honey in a warrior's nest once... gulping, she hoped it hadn't been him.

Cheetahheart and Shatterstep cheer for Stingingflame, Winterpaw, Fawnpaw, Springpaw, and Amberpaw.

Snakepaw watched the ceremony silently, visions of his warrior ceremony filling his head.

The three sisters grinned to their pack as the newest apprentices. Winterpaw, Springpaw, and Fawnpaw looked at each other. They knew that their sisterhood will fade away....

Stingingflame watched among the crowd, seeing no one special, but her father, who was grinning in pride.

Thunderpup padded over to his sister. "When I become an apprentice, I want to be brave and loyal!" he stated.

Sundance cheered on the new members while sitting next to Cheetahheart. Her sister's death was hard, but she did it.
