Being deputy was hard work, as Fallentear found out. There were a lot of hopes riding on her shoulders. The first order of business was setting patrols. Great. I hope I don't look like an idiot[/b], she thought. A crowd of wolves formed around her, curious about the patrols.[/size]

Flightfall nodded sympathetically to the new deputy. Trying to help her, she barked, "How about me and Shadepaw go with Willowclaw, Burninggaze and Silentflame on a border patrol?" Willowclaw and Silentflame padded over to their daughter with their son bounding behind them, yawning after a quick nap.

Snowfrost, Icewing, Mudpaw, Starpaw, and Jetpaw walked up to Fallentear. Snowfrost smiled at Fallentear, she knew that being a deputy was hard work. (I think that Snowfrost should retire soon, she is really old...)

Fallentear breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you. Now, Flightfall, Shadepaw, Willowclaw, Burninggaze and Silentflame will go on the border patrol. Snowfrost, Tainteddream, Icewing, Mudpaw, Starpaw, and Jetpaw, you will go on the hunting patrol. We need all the prey we can get nowadays.", she woofed.

Firestar walked out of his den and up to Fallentear. "Your doing a wonderful job." He woofed in her ear. "If you haven't already assigned yourself to a patrol, I would like you to join Mythflame and me on a hunting patrol."

Ghostshadow joined her clanmates, but seeing that the patrols had already been made she said "i volunteer for the next border patrol. want me to find some people to go with me when its time?"
