Firestar entered the camp, his paws dragging on the ground. He was exausted. Almost as soon as he set paw in camp his brother and sister converged apon him. Soon the rest of the pack followed.

Fallentear stopped grooming herself when she saw Firestar return. She wanted to go over and congradulate him, but everyone was crowded around him. Along with admiration, there was fear. With his new responsibilities, will he forget about me..?

Firestar grinned at his pak. "Hold on a minute guys, I've got to appoint a deputy and stuff." He lept up the Tall Hill and howled. Not bothering with calling the pack- they were already there- Firestar started. "My first job as leader is to appoint a deputy." He paused, "I say these words in front of starpack so they may hear and approve my choice." He glanced at the stars quickly before finishing. "Fallentear will be the new deputy."
(do we need any apprentice/warrior ceremonies to do?)

Fallentear sat bolt upright. Deputy?!, she thought, dazed by this revolution. She hardly thought she would fit the position. Nonetheless, she stood up to face her leader. "Firestar, thank you.", Fallentear replied gallantly. "I will do my best to serve my Pack with the best of my ability."

Firestar nodded. "I also have a few more thing to do. Shadepup and SAndpup. You have reached your six moons and it is tie for you to becaome apprentices."

(I have Burninggaze, Willowclaw, Silentflame and Flightfall. But Flightfall might not be a good mentor, because of her personality. XD)

Flightfall stood a little apart from the rest of the Pack. "Congratulations, Fallentear," she muttered half-heartedly; she had nothing against the wolf, but always set high targets for herself. She felt she was failing if she didn't get acknowledged, like becoming deputy. Tail trailing she padded away.

"Shadepup from now on you shall be known as Shadepaw. Your mentor will be Flightfall. Flightfall, you are an excelent warrior, and I trust you to pass on all that you know." Firestar shifted his attention to Sandpup. "Sandpup, from now on you shall be known as Sandpaw. Your mentor will be Tainterdream. Taintedream you have shown amazing strength and courage, and I expect you to pass everything you know to Sandpaw."
(I thought I should give Flightfall a chance.)

Flightfall whipped round, ears pricked up. She had an apprentice?! Awkwardly, she padded to Shadepaw and touched noses with the new apprentice. Eyes sparkling, she looked back up at Firestar, all traces of failing gone.
Burninggaze watched his sister happily. He thought that, if she had an apprentice to train, it would give her patience and kindness and in all make her a better warrior.
