"It's okay. It's just so much to....take in," she mumbled. Deep down, she was hurting. She never got the chance to love someone, or to have a normal life. It was all gone now. Cocoamane sighed.

Shadowstripe flicked Cocoamane's shoulder with his tail. "I know how you feel. I never got to love anyone either, and I had to watch from the stars as my sister, Whiterain, became deputy. I was so proud of her.", he woofed sympathetically.

Cocoamane smiled faintly. Her once warm smile felt cold yet warmer than it had. "I would be proud too. I was proud of her and Littlepup," she woofed.
