Moonpaw's pelt felt hot when Bramble licked her neck. "Thanks. I know, I have to introduce you to some of my friends," she woofed. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and stepped on a thorn. It dug into her left paw, which made her lean onto Bramble. "Ouch, I'm sorry. I stepped on a thorn," she mumbled.

Phoenixfeather watched as they came into camp. She was guarding the medicine den, as Whiterain had asked her. Echohowl had argued it was not necessary...though it was a wise decision. With the deputy injured, she had to be protected, as she only had one life. "Who is that, Moonpaw?", she inquired.

Moonpaw looked at Phoenixfeather. "This is Bramble, we found him alone in the territory and he wishes to become one of us," she woofed simply. Her emerald eyes were begging for him to stay.

Moonpaw smiled and nodded her head. She padded past Phoenixfeather and to Whiterain. "Whiterain? It's Moonpaw, we found a wolf in the territory and he wishes to become a Shadowpack warrior. His name is Bramble."

Moonpaw looked at Bramble and met his gaze. "Thank you, Bramble," she woofed. Moonpaw licked his cheek in thanks then stopped. "I'm sorry about that. It just really hurt," she flushed.

Moonpaw waited for Whiterain's response, but her breathing remained normal. She was sound asleep. "I think she's a little tried. We should come back later," she whispered in his ear. She then shifted her broken emerald gaze to Phoenixfeather. "Tell her when she wakes that we stopped by, and come get us." "Come on, Bramble. Let's go meet my dear friend, Ashpaw," she whispered and padded out of the den.

Bramble nodded and walked back out of the den with Moonpaw.
(Will Bramble be Moonpaw's mate or Ashpaw? Haha get it? In the books Brambleclaw wins Squirrelflight and Ashfur gets heart-broken! Will it be the opposite or the same??)

(OMG! I so get it. Yeah, I think in the end that Moonpaw will choose Bramble. But Ashpaw won't be as crazy, he will find another mate, but still be Moonpaw's best friend.)
Moonpaw walked over to the apprentice den. "Ashpaw! Ashpaw! I have a new friend I want you to meet!" she called. A warm ashy gray male walked out of the apprentice den. "Moonpaw, you seem in a better mood today. Oh, and hello. I'm Ashpaw," he woofed. Moonpaw leaned up against Bramble. "And this is Bramble," she woofed happily.
