young Raindance touched her nose to the Moonstone, shivering from the cold, but also fear, surprise, and awe...
She woke up in FourTrees, surrounded by many many silvery wolves, their eyes glowing proudly
"Welcome Raindance, are you ready to recieve your nine lives?"
a small gray cat, the only one there, piped up "It was my idea!"
Raindance smiled, and woofed "Yes, I am."
(i chose a bunch of my friends!)
the first to come was a white she wolf with amber eyes, and a ginger stripe, her sister Lightningfoot "With this life I give you courage, use it well in the defense of your PAck"
(im not gonna go into details for them all but it HURT. Raindance felt shaky, not sure if she wanted to go on.... After Lightningfoot touched her nose to hers, she stepped away, smiling...)
Next came Ravenwing, a sleek black she wolf "With this life i give you justice, use it well as you judge the actions of others."
Next, Hawkfeather, a dappled brown she wolf with bright yellow eyes "With this life i give you loyalty to what you know to be right, use it well to guid your Pack in times of trouble"
After that, Moonbeam, a silvery she wolf with a silly expression on her face "With this life i give you tireless energy, use it well to carry out your duties as leader."
Then, Gingerstep "With this life i give you protection, use it well to care for your Pack as a mother cares for her pups"
Next, Skyangel "With this life i give you mentoring, use it well to train the young wolves of your Pack"
Next was Palmjungle "With this life i give you compassion, use it well for the elders of your Pack, and the sick, and all those weaker then yourself."
then came Squirrelfur, Raindance's cheerful and happy go lucky mentor "With this life i give you love, use it well for all the wolves in your care"
Then lastly came not Tallstar, the former leader, but Silversnow! Rainstar's mother! she beamed proudly and happily, and touched her nose to her daughter's, the daughter she hadnt seen for moons since she was killed by a grizzlie, "With this life I give you nobility and certainty and faith. USe it well as you lead your Pack in the ways of StarPack and the warrior code."
Every wolf stood up including Raindance rather shakily
StarPAck woofed "We hail you by your new name, Rainstar. Your old life is no more, you have now recieved the nine lives of a leader, and StarPack grants you the guardianship of WindPack. Defend it well, care for the young and old, honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code, live each life with pride and dignity.
RAINSTAR! RAINSTAR!"
a great life was ahead of her, but the path ahead of her had its dark and rough patches...
